Kerry McDonald is an education policy writer and unschooling advocate whose writing has appeared at Forbes, NPR, Newsweek, Education Next, Natural Mother Magazine, FEE.org, and Intellectual Takeout, among others. She has a B.A. in Economics from Bowdoin College and an M.Ed. in education policy from Harvard University. Kerry is a founding member of Alternatives To School.com, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Self-Directed Education

In November 2017, Kerry signed a book deal with Chicago Review Press for a book on unschooling and Self-Directed Education. Her literary agent is Jill Marsal.
